Wine Varieties
Our oaked Chardonnay comes from the single vineyard Yerakofolia, meaning “hawk’s nest,” located 200 meters (650 feet) above sea level, just as a hawk sits perched above for the select view of its prey. This vineyard’s location and climate results in lower, more select yields of this particular variety.

Fermented in temperature-controlled French oak vat. The wine matures for a short period of time (3months) in Hungarian oak barriques.

From the selected vineyard ‘Yerakofolia’ in Sgarna, on the eastern outskirts of mount Chlomo, part of the private owned vineyard of Domaine Hatzimichalis in Atalanti Valley. Yerakofolia, which means “hawk’s nest,” is located 200 meters (650 feet) above sea level. Clay and sand are more evident in this area.

Nose
An aromatic combination of green and stone fruits such as peach, pear, apple and peach meet aromas of the MLF and the oak such as nutmeg , roasted nuts, butter, bread and vanilla.
Palate
The high complexity of aromas are met in the palate as well, buttery texture, vanilla and nuts, balance well with its fruity character and round acidity. The high alcohol gives warmth to the wine, whereas the long after taste makes it a very fulfilling wine.
