Alfega Erythros

Red

Wine Varieties

"Alfega" comes from the first and last letter of the Greek alphabet (Α-Ω), representing our philosophy to make wines: from the first stage through the last. We cultivate our own grapes, vinify our own wine, and distribute our own product.

Alfega Erythros is a typical Bordeaux blend of the three French varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot).

Combined, these particular varieties result in balanced fruity wine with vegetal notes and a long aftertaste deriving from the ageing process.

  • Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Atalanti Valley

  • Each variety is vinified separately with the technique of classic red vinification. It aged for at least 12 months in French oak barriques in our underground cellars.

  • From selected privately owned sub-mountainous vineyards of Domaine Hatzimichalis in Atalanti Valley.

  • Nose

Aromas of black fruits including plum, blackberry, blueberry as well as cedar, spices and vanilla.

    Palate

Black fruits are evident on the palate, sweet spices such as cloves and jamminess. Very balanced, high tannins, long finish and complexity that makes the wine unique.
