Schioppettino / Limnio
Wine Varieties
Schioppettino, the ancient variety mostly popular in north Italy is combined with Limnio, the most ancient Greek variety on record that was even said to be enjoyed by Aristotle.
Our philosophy of creation from start to finish is always present, while being reinforced through this delicate label.

-
Each variety is vinified separately with the technique of classic red vinification via stainless steel tanks, without the use of any barrels. Maceration is very short in relatively low temperature. This technique brings a really fresh character to the wine, pronouncing the primary red fruit aromas and softening the tannins..
-
Both are handpicked from specific vineyards (single vineyards) with very low yield per acre/hectare, all located in Atalanti Valley.

Nose
Ripe red fruits, mostly cranberry, red cherry and raspberry. We can also recognise notes of herbs, violet, and subtle sweet spices.
Palate
On the palate we meet red cherry, raspberry, dried fig as well as flavours of spices including cinnamon. Its light body and crisp acidity makes the wine refreshing, while the soft tannins and fruity aftertaste, lead to a very pleasant wine.
Best served at 10-12 °C
